The South East London and Kent Neurosciences Network was launched in July 2025 and brings together neurology, spinal and neurosurgery workstreams to transform the whole patient journey.
Our aim is to ensure that patients have timely access to specialist neuroscience services — wherever they live within the region. Guided by population health, the network takes a holistic and collaborative approach to improving outcomes for people with neurological conditions.
Covering a population of over 3.3 million people across 7 NHS trusts and 2 integrated care systems (ICSs), the network aims to:
- Strengthen pathways and partnerships across SEL and Kent
- Improve patient outcomes and reduce unwarranted variation
- Promote equitable access to specialist services
- Support clinicians through collaboration, education, and shared learning
